Akash Chopra believes that Rishbha Pant will have to play a significant innings for Delhi Capitals (DC). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Tonight in IPL 2021 Qualifier-1 game.
Pant has yet to score a half-century as the current edition of the Indian Premier League has resumed in the United Arab Emirates. The DC captain has tried to throw his wicket in the last few matches while going for big shots.
Reviewing the CSK-DC clash, in a video shared on his YouTube channel, Akash Chopra opined that Pant has the key to the victory of the IPL 2020 finalists against CSK on Sunday. He said in detail:
“I’m hoping that Rishbha Pant will eventually have to play a trick that happens later, which you see and remember again and again. He didn’t do it this year, he scored, but That knock is missing. If this team has to do it, then fight well against the opposing bowling attack and win this match, then Rishbha Pant will have to fire.
He also selected bowlers from cricketers to commentators who could possibly be used against the two openers of the Delhi Capitals. Chopra said:
“Deepak Chahar has the upper hand against Prithvi. Once again the match will be very interesting. Josh Hazelwood and maybe Moin Ali will be called up for Shakir Dhawan as they sometimes have problems against spin. See.”
Except for the last match, Shekhar Dhawan and Prithviraj Shaw did not give a flying start to Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2021 UAE League. DC Middle order
Akash Chopra on the keys to CSK’s success against DC
Akash Chopra believes that Deepak Chahar needs to strike with a new ball for CSK to rise. He observed:
“I think CSK will be weak if Deepak Chahar does not take wickets with the new ball. Deepak Chahar is not taking wickets with the new ball in the second half.”
The former Indian opener ended the ball and bat selection by selecting Shardul Thackeray and Ravindra Jadeja as key players for CSK. Chopra explained:
“Shardul Thakur has been extraordinary. Shardul Thakur comes and makes a match when you lose everything. So, this match will depend a lot on Lord Thackeray with the ball and the bat. I think Sir Ravinder Jadeja towards the end. Of course, everyone knows about the openers. “
It will be interesting to see if Jadeja gets promotions in the batting order, considering CSK’s middle order concerns. The spin bowling all-rounder has improved his batting by making jumps and can also make innings if needed.
Question: Will Deepak Chahar fire Prithvi Shaw again?
