Jets bodyguard Alex Lewis retires, The Post’s Brian Costello confirmed Wednesday.
The 29-year-old was left out of the squad earlier this month after suffering a head injury during practice.
Lewis was not allowed to sign with any other team when he joined the list.
He started nine games last season and cut his salary in the off-season, with the expectation that he would serve shopkeeper Alia Vera Tucker as a left-wing bully.
Lewis’ salary dropped from 5. 5.8 million to 3 3 million.
