Breaking: Birmingham City 2022/2023 Championship Fixtures Revealed

Birmingham City will face their fourth consecutive opening day in Luton Town following the release of the Championship Fixtures for the 2022/2023 season. The game takes place on Saturday, July 30 at Kennel Worth Road – the best performance of the season in the last season of the Blues.

Tahit Chong Masterclass, two goals from Scott Hogan and one each from Mark Roberts, Gary Gardner and Chuck Anneke gave the Blues a 5-0 victory which Le Boyer called the best win of his managerial career.

The Blues’ first home game will be next weekend, with last season’s losing Wembley finalists visiting Huddersfield Town, as their first two matches are against the playoffs of the previous campaign.

Before the end of the first month, Cardiff City will follow with a double header against advanced teams at home and away from Watford League One. Dan Smith’s Norwich City moved to another city on Tuesday, August 30th.

The West Midlands derby matches are on Wednesday, September 14 in West Brom and three days later at Coventry City home. Albion arrives in St. Andrew’s on February 11, while the Blues’ final road trip is a short journey – away from the Sky Blues on April 29, 2023, the last day of the season. The campaign will end on May 5 at the Sheffield United home.

The Christmas program begins on Burnley’s Boxing Day trip, before Hill and Middlesbrough, New Year’s Day, arrive in the Blues. Next year’s Easter program includes a Good Friday trip for reading on April 7 and for Stoke at home on April 10.

Due to the World Cup in Qatar, this season’s championship has a break in the middle of winter, which means that the Blues will not play for a month after facing Sunderland at home on November 12. They reappear in Blackpool on December 10 – the worst performance of the season
