Darrell Brooks was formally charged in the Christmas parade attack in Waukesha

The ex-con-con accused of killing five people at one Wisconsin Christmas Parade appeared to be crying throughout his trial on Tuesday, when it was announced that a sixth victim had died from the attack and his cash bail was set at $ 5 million.

Earlier this month, Darrell Brooks had been cut off from “inappropriately low” bail in a previous criminal case.

Brooks, 39, who is charged with five counts of first-degree premeditated murder in Sunday’s attack at the Waukesha Christmas parade, will also face a sixth murder after a child who was hit by his SUV also died, prosecutors revealed on Tuesday.

The child was identified as Jackson Sparks, 8, whose 12-year-old brother, Tucker, was also injured in the melee.

Brooks bowed his head during the trial and at one point seemed to cry when the judge told him about his long criminal record.

Police said Brooks, a wannabe rapper with a long criminal record, escaped from a disturbance as he ran past police barricades and onto the parade route, where he mowed down marchers and spectators.

In addition to the deaths, authorities said 48 people were injured during the attack, including at least two children now in critical condition.

Among the victims were a young dance troupe and the Milwaukee Dancing Grannies, who said they lost three members in the tragedy.

Police caught up with Brooks nearby and first identified him as a person of interest in the case before he filed the murder charges.

To make matters worse, prosecutors this week admitted that Brooks should have already been in jail – he was was released on “inappropriately low” bail just days earlier.

Brooks was charged in that case with beating and driving over the mother of his children at a local gas station on Nov. 2, but was released on $ 1,000 bail.

According to reports, Brooks had another ongoing assault case from July 2020 – where he was released in February on bail of only $ 500 – and has a open decision on sexual abuse in Nevada.

Just minutes before Sunday’s parade, Brooks entered one dispute with his ex-girlfriend, as neighbors said he had to flee his home barefoot and with a blue eye to escape him.

Waukesha Police Chief Daniel Thompson said Brooks fled domestic violence before police responded – and launched the attack on the parade as he fled.

Brooks, an amateur rapper who calls himself Mathboi Fly, is said to have used the red Ford Escape SUV that he is alleged to have driven into the parade on a rap video.
