In January, they all go back to school in Coahuila

Coahuila will continue with a safe return to classes gradually, announced by the person in charge of the Ministry of Education’s office, María del Carmen Ruiz Esparza, who stated that in January, all schools in the unit must have returned to face-to-face classes.

Currently, 60 percent of Coahuila’s schools work personally under the “Safe Back to School Plan”, in a model that allows students to walk two to three days a week to take care of capacity, healthy distance and other preventative measures against covid-19 , while the rest of the days working from their homes.

“We still need to present an important proposal, practically from the rest of the schools that are not active in person, so far we are in 60 percent of the schools that are part of the system face to face and we are working so that those we lack do so.” , sa.

He claimed that once with the approval and integration of a further number of schools, in January, the more than 4,000 basic educational institutions will be covered by this program.

Ruiz Esparza said that one of the problems that has stopped the return of the missing schools is the seasonal change that brought cold fronts, which makes it difficult to ventilate the rooms that are necessary, but they analyze the options to proceed with the fifth stage of return to face lessons. against face.

cold will not prevent returning to the classrooms

The official ruled that the cold is a crucial factor that will prevent the return of the missing schools or that it will interrupt the progress they have in the schools that are already working personally, so she said that measures will be taken by regions to adapt class schedules. and mitigates the effects of cold.

“We will not be able to prevent the rooms from being ventilated, oxygen is required in this pandemic situation … we are developing strategies by region, as they – as you know – differ from each other, which will probably make us change the hours of entry for the the youngest children in the northern area where the winter is harsher, ”he explained.

He also indicated that another of the measures that will be implemented before the cold, will be the closure of classes officially when the thermometer shows -2 ° C, as well as the criteria for parents who decide to send or not to classes for their children when he deems it necessary.

After returning to face-to-face lessons, the authorities have a register of at least 1,500 students who have not taken part in lessons, mainly concentrated in rural communities and peripheral neighborhoods in the various municipalities, but they are already working to locate them.
