Jets coach Robert Saleh stood up for general manager Joe Douglas this week and the team’s long-term plan to turn the franchise around.

It’s hard to see progress in a 2-8 season where the Jets have been uncompetitive in five of those losses. But Saleh told fans this week Jets do things right.

“This is the first time this fan base is actually experiencing something similar,” Saleh said on Monday. “Usually it’s been a quick fix, followed by a scramble. This is a real plan. I feel like Joe (Douglas) is doing a phenomenal job with a really, really concise plan for how to build from the ground up and there are many exciting pieces. in this team who are hidden in these losses. “
