Motorcyclist causes pedestrian fracture after accident in Torreón, El Siglo de Torreón



A 57-year-old man suffered an exposed fracture in one leg after being hit by a motorcycle in the Nueva Laguna Norte district of Torreón.

The accident occurred around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday on Manuel Lombardi Street, between Carlos Salinas de Gortari Avenue and the Raúl López Sánchez suburb.



The victim was identified as 57-year-old José de Jesús, who works as a caretaker at a restaurant in the area.

It was reported that the man went out to dump the garbage together with other employees at the site and when they were walking on the road, a motorcyclist drove over him.



The unit listed as responsible is the white Honda brand, which was driven by 41-year-old Jesús Eduardo, who was traveling with his partner.

The presence of the city’s rescue and security company was immediately requested through a telephone call to the state’s 911 emergency system.

Red Cross paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the injured man, who showed an exposed fracture in one of his legs, for which he was transferred to Clinic 16 at the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) for medical evaluation.

The accident became known to the staff of the department of experts at the municipal court. The driver of the motorcycle was at the disposal of the investigating representative at the public ministry for the crime.

Finally, the device was removed from the site by means of a crane and deposited in a fence in the city for its protection.
