Ekin-Su Kulkuloglu and Davide Sanklimenti have been voted the least compatible couple by their fellow Love Islands as the ITV reality show finale approaches.
The race for the winners of this year’s show turned into a personal relationship on Friday, when the contestants split into pairs to discuss the state of their other relationships to dramatic music.
This will come just a few days before the final on August 1st, where one of the remaining five couples will be the winner of Love Island 2022 for a £50,000 prize.
Ekin-Su and Davida were joined by Gemma Owen and Luka Bish, Tasha Guri and Andrew Le Page, India Pollack and Dami Hope, and Paige Thorne and Adam Collard as the last remaining couples after nearly eight weeks of the ITV dating show.
While they were discussing who to choose, Ekin-Su said to Davide, “Let’s be honest, this is not an island of friends.”
But the couple received four votes for the least compatible couple ahead of further viewer voting, meaning they risk being kicked off the island ahead of the final.
Gemma and Luka got three votes, Paige and Adam got two, and Tasha and Andrew got one each, meaning they also risk losing.
India and Dami were the only couple not to receive votes, which means they are safe and will compete in the final.
Earlier in the episode, the final epic dates continued with Tasha and Andrew having lunch on the beach inside a giant Kardashian-style 3D heart made entirely of red roses.
Arriving for their date, the couple looked stunned as Andrew exclaimed, “This is really crazy,” jokingly adding that Tasha had said she wanted a lot of roses.
Reflecting on their time at the villa, Tasha told him, “I never thought I would ask a guy to be my boyfriend.
“I felt that I had to do this to prove to you, to show you that I am ready to do this, I am ready to be 100% for you and everything for you. It shows me how it should be.”
Andrew later shared that one of his favorite moments was when Tasha told him about her hearing aid “superpower”.
“You are incredibly brave and that is a quality I love about you. I want to be there for you no matter what, to support you,” he said.
“Got you. I got you, baby.”
Luka and Gemma also enjoyed their last date in a private courtyard, where they were serenaded by a six-piece ensemble.
Sitting at a table set over a pool of water, Gemma spoke about their relationship, saying, “We turn each other on. But we both love it.
“You know, it’s hard for me to be loving, but I feel like I’m much more loving with you than anyone before. I always find myself reaching for you. I always want to be by your side and in your company.”
Speaking about their plans for the future, Luka added: “I feel like we still know who we are and we don’t label it, but obviously one of the surprises (at home) might label it when we ready.
“Just waiting for the right moment. I hope I get the right answer.”
The Island of Love finale will air on ITV2 and ITV Hub at 21:00 on Monday 1st August.
