Samuray Del Sol replaces Kenny Omega in the AAA match

Samuray Del Sol, better known as Kalisto during his time in the WWE, has replaced Kenny omega in the upcoming AAA Mega Championship match.

Omega recently left the title due to several injuries he is currently dealing with, including Vertigo and Hernia. The Cleaner was supposed to defend its title against Hijo Del Vikingo at TripleMania Regia on December 4.

It was reported that AAA could book a multi-man match for the AAA Mega Championship, with Viking as one of the challengers. Now Samuray Del Sol has emerged as the second contestant and a replacement for Kenny Omega. Fans can expect that AAA will announce more competitors to the clash in the coming days.

Samuray Del Sol left WWE in April 2021 after an eight-year term as part of the company’s budget cuts. Del Sol made his AEW debut in the November 3 episode of Dynamite, where he paired with Aero Star to unsuccessfully challenge FTR for the AAA Tag Team Championships.
