There’s a Success on the Other Side of the Mess

Working to get your metaphorical home in order is exactly like cleaning out your actual closet: You’ll dig out all the years’ worth of stuff on the floor, separate them into piles: ‘trash, donate, keep’, and then get overwhelmed. Because things felt less messy than they did before starting this process.

Trust that there is relief on the other side and everything will feel light, clean and clear.

Keep going, even when it feels messy and uncomfortable. You are on the verge of a success.

I see this with clients all the time: they dig in to design their ideal life, understand what they value and what is in alignment with it, become clear on time and financial allocation and that Want to make everything possible, and then reverse-engineer the business to make it happen.

Then, like clockwork, they start questioning and doubting it all because suddenly it feels messier and less comfortable than before.

Because they’ve put it on the ‘closet floor’ and it looks like a big old mess, but in reality, it’s the inevitable stage that happens just before the planning starts and the system starts to do its job .

Don’t be afraid of mess. On the other hand there is a success. It will all be worth it!
