This city is the world’s most livable city in 2022

To The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIC), a sister publication economist The magazine has released its annual list of the world’s most livable cities. officially called Global Liveability Index 2022The EIC comes up with its list by examining several metrics on a city-wide basis, including infrastructure, affordable health care, crime rates, the education system, political and social stability, culture, and more.

For 2022, there is a new “most livable city” in the world and that is Vienna, Austria. Vienna scored 99.1 out of 100 in the overall Global Liveability Index rankings. It scored a perfect 100 for metrics including health care, sustainability and education. The Austrian capital’s climb to #1 this year is quite remarkable, as it came in 12th place in 2021, although this was mainly due to all the COVID-19 restrictions in force at the time, reports bloomberg,

It is also notable about the list of most livable cities of 2022 that not a single US city made it to the top 10. In fact, the top 10 list is dominated by Canadian and European cities, with a city dominated by Japan and Australia. ,
